Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions about your cabinets or our process? We've answered some of the ones we hear most often. Check out our answers below!

How do I clean my cabinets?

We have a video showing you how to clean your cabinets. Go check it out!

How long does it take to install cabinets?

An average house of cabinets may take 1-2 days for the initial installation. Countertop templates, countertop install, and plumbing/ electrical trim outs can typically proceed directly after initial install of cabinetry. Punch work timeframes will depend upon the issue and could take a week or two depending on availability of missing or warranty parts from manufacturer. Each project is unique. Your designer can help you with timeframes.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, we require a 50% deposit placed at ordering, 40% draw after cabinets are installed and are template ready for countertops, and then the final 10% is due upon completion of our punch list and job is completed.

How long does the entire cabinet ordering process take?

It is typical for the measuring/design process to take 2-3 weeks (depending on size of the project and how prepared the customer is prior to meeting with our designers) and the manufacturers currently have 5-7 weeks lead times for product to arrive at our facility. Once the cabinets arrive it normally takes a week to deliver to the jobsite and begin the installation. Please ask your designer for current lead times for your project and more accurate times because the manufacturer’s lead times can vary.

Do you provide color and door samples?

Yes, there are many samples in our showroom. There are color samples that can be checked out as well. Ask our designers for help.

Yes, ask your designer for help.

Do you sell frameless cabinets?

Yes

Do my floors have to be installed prior to cabinet installation?

We require that all sand and finish hardwood be installed prior to cabinet installation due to the propensity of damage to the cabinets by the hardwood installation and finishing. If you are using LVP or similar you may wait until after the floors are down to have cabinets installed if you choose. Cabinets will always look there best being installed after flooring is installed because it may not require shoe molding (this will also depend on how level the flooring is after installation as well).

My doors are no longer adjusted properly. How do I fix this?

We have videos on our website showing you how to make simple adjustments. Go check them out!

I have an interior designer. Do you work closely with client’s designers?

Yes, your designer is welcome to assist us in your project! Upon contracting, we ask that you initial a section of the contract stating that you give your designer authority to make changes on your behalf if you want them to be able to make changes or give direction once the project has begun. We do this because we work at the direction of our clients only. By agreeing to this your designer becomes an additional client on your project.

How long does it take to receive an estimate?

Typically, within one week depending on current workload.

Why do my soft close hinges or drawer slides no longer work properly?

There could be a defect or damage to the slow closing mechanisms or simply an adjustment needs to be made. If within a year from purchase, they will be under warranty, and we can order any parts for you. There are also How-To videos on our website to show you how to do many repairs and/or adjustments on your own. But if you are uncomfortable as a DIY reach out to us for a field technician to do your repairs (Warranty parts are at no cost but there is a charge for labor).
